Awarded London Time Out magazine's 'Critics Choice' when first staged in 2009 Bardathon ran for a mammoth 24 hours with teams of actors performing a total of 15 plays interluded with sonnets and speaches.

Donations and sponsorship raised by Bardathon 2009 were used to produce a three week performance of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream staged at the historic Rose Theatre, Bankside.

The cast of eleven actors, the majority of whom had taken part in Bardathon 2009, performed to sell out audiences and received critical acclaim for their energy and innovation. The show attracted both professional casting agents and directors, allowing the actors to showcase their talent and develop their profile.

Returning to The Scoop at More London for a twelve hour run for 2010 the actors performed six of Shakespeare's plays. In between each performance individual actors took to the stage to recite speeches and sonnets, once again making Bardathon a truly non-stop continuous experience from noon to midnight! All performances were free to view for the public bringing theatre to a wider audience and contributing to the vibrant cultural scene of London Bankside.
